Novella on the Park is a family-owned and operated company with over a decade of experience.

From humble beginnings

Director John Demarte started his event and hospitality journey as a waiter at the age of 14 in Fairfield. John was introduced to wedding and special event management at Calabrisella in Cabramatta before he was approached to join the team at Roma Classic Lounge in Liverpool.

After 12 years of developing his experience and strengthening his passion for events at Roma Classic Lounge, John took ownership of the White Pearl at Bonnyrigg in 2005 and renamed the venue to Novella Events Centre.

A family affair

John managed Novella Events Centre with his wife Franca Demarte for 13 years. When they opened the doors in 2005, John and Franca hosted 52 functions in the year and this quickly grew to 300 functions each year!

Until this present day, John, Franca and their three children; Renee, Pasquale and Tiana, work side by side together to deliver events.

The Heart of Western Sydney

Their event journey has always been based in Western Sydney therefore John and Franca have a deep connection with the community and a great understanding of the local customs and traditions.

Motivated by the opportunity to host events in a unique destination and gathering the Western Sydney community together, John and Franca relocated to Western Sydney Parklands and opened Novella on the Park in 2020.
